Q1  What is JISSN?
A1  JISSN is one of a range of online journals published by BioMed Central. Most of these journals are online only, although a few currently have a traditional paper version. The journals share several key features: the original research they publish is freely accessible to all, copyright in original research is retained by the authors, and articles are published quickly online once accepted after peer-review - within days, in most cases. This sets BioMed Central apart from a great many other publishers, who generally adopt a policy of 'paper first, online second'. But we do a lot more with the Internet than just make the articles available for viewing on your web browser. To find out exactly what we offer readers online, please look at one of the research articles. For details of the scope and types of article published by JISSN see About JISSN.
